Thursday, February 6, 2014

This is one of my absolute favorites, It's quick and easy and a lot better than anything u can get from a fast food chain. Although tacos are technically Mexican, me being the Puerto Rican I am, I like to put my own ethnic spin on it. Why? u ask, well not only do they taste phenomenal, well this is my blog and I can. :)

Ingrediants 1lbs Ground Beef( or you can use ground chicken or turkey) 1 whole Onion (diced) 1 Clove Garlic 2 Tbsp of Knorr Chicken Bouillon 1 tsp Cumin 1 Packet Taco seasoning 1 tsp Chili powder 1 packet Sazon Goya 2 Tbsp Sofrito (Goya) 2 Tbsp Recaito (Goya) Salt and Pepper to taste 1/4 cup water
Toppings
Tortillas Shredded lettuce Sliced black olives Diced Tomatoes Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese Sour Cream Salsa Green onions for garnish
In a big skillet brown the ground beef until it's fully cook (no pink).
Drain out the fat from the beef using a colander. Set beef aside. In the same skillet add the whole chopped onion and garlic, let that cook 2 min.
Then add beef back into skillet with onions, add taco seasoning, chicken bouillon, Cumin, chili powder and water. then add Sazon, sofrito, recaito, and salt and pepper to taste. let that cook down 30 min stirring frequently. when ready serve on warm tortilla and top it with toppings.
